Joint research project FRACS
Fluid flow in rocks is one of the vital mechanisms in the Earth’s crust. The human society is in so many ways dependent on this, be it for water supplies or pollutant transport, for geothermal energy, gas and mineral ore deposits or as the origin of earthquakes. The past few years have seen a considerable increase in scientific interest in these mechanisms, not least because of society’s increasing demand for resources.
